While Bob and I were working on the Andante in Vero Beach we made the trip up to Titusville, just west across the Indian River from Cape Canaveral, to watch the launch of Discovery, the 119th shuttle launch.  Titusville itself is really showing the signs of NASA's budget reductions and the current recession with lots of boarded up strip malls and service stations.  We arrived about two hours before the 7:43 PM launch time and found an empty lot with river-front access and settled in for a great two-minute show.  The timing of the launch, at sunset, provided incredible colors.  If you can make the trip for a launch, you should!
